Take your freediving skills to the next level!!!!
The course is designed for experienced freedivers who would like to further develop their skills from previous levels or to acquire new skills and gain a higher knowledge of safety procedures and techniques.
These additional skills will help to improve freediving techniques, and relaxation to dive longer, deeper, more comfortably, and more enjoyable.
Theory sessions will cover Technique, Training Concepts & Plans, Nutrition, Physiology, Equalization, Barotrauma, Lungs at Depth, Buoyancy, Shallow Water Blackout, The Mammalian Dive Response, Decompression Sickness, Surface Intervals, and Freediver's Code of Conduct.
Pool sessions will cover static and dynamic sessions as well as teach relaxation, breathing, finning, and safety techniques as well as how to prepare and use training tables (CO2/O2).
To maintain a high level of quality and attention to our students, we only have a maximum of four (3) available spots. We will be opening registrations on a first-come(register) first served basis after this email.
Prerequisites:
1. Be 18 years of age or older (16 or 17 years old with a parent or guardian's consent)
2. Can swim at least 200 m non-stop without fins and at least 300 m non-stop with the mask, fins, and snorkel.
3. Have completed the AIDA 2 pool course or have completed the AIDA 2 pool Crossover Evaluation if crossing over from another freediving agency.
Course Structure (What’s included) and Price
1. Two (1 and 1/2 hrs) online sessions (Microsoft Teams) and one online test,
2. Two pool sessions of training.
3. AIDA 3 Pool Freediver Certification Fees.
4. Free access to Online AF Student Library.

Quarry rental fees: $ 30.

Equipment: Every student is responsible for bringing their equipment (mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, and belt with weights).
Course requirements to qualify for AIDA 3 certification:
- 55 m distance underwater DYN (dynamic apnea with fins)
- 2:40 minutes in stationary breath-hold time in water STA (static apnea).
- 26 m CWT (constant weight w/ by-fins)
- One final exam, with a minimum passing score of 75%
- Safety and rescue exercises for advanced pool and open water performance.
